About the artist: Earl Hirtz is a wildlife photographer and outdoor enthusiast based in Vancouver, Canada. His lifelong fascination with the natural world has led him to Alaska, Africa and beyond. When he’s not planning his next adventure, he can usually be found photographing herons and eagles on the coast of his native British Columbia, or polishing his latest woodworking project.
